Clinical and Research Background
Dr. Mantilla diagnoses sarcoma and other diseases of bone and connective tissue, as well as diseases of the head, neck, and respiratory system. He completed his medical education at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Colombia. He is board certified by the American Board of Pathology.
Dr. Mantilla’s research interests include the evaluation of morphologic and molecular findings to better diagnose and determine the behavior of soft tissue sarcomas, as well as ways to improve resident education and access to pathology services in developing regions.
