Clinical and Research Background

Dr. Soma’s expertise is in the morphologic and flow cytometric diagnosis of lymphoid and myeloid disorders/neoplasia. Her primary research interests are related to characterization and prognostication of reactive and neoplastic lymphoid processes. She is also interested in best educational practices in hematopathology.

Evaluating for novel markers for diagnosis and prognostication of Hodgkin and Non-hodgkin lymphoma

Refining immunophenotypic, genetic and morphologic distinction of reactive and neoplastic lymphoid extra-nodal disorders
