Clinical and Research Background

Dr. Aksionau is an anatomic and clinical pathologist with fellowship training in Neuropathology and Head and Neck Pathology. His clinical interests include neuropathology, head and neck pathology, and the integration of molecular diagnostics into surgical pathology. His scholarly work has focused on central nervous system tumors, molecular neuropathology, head and neck neoplasms, renal neoplasia, and clinicopathologic correlation through case-based studies and translational research. He is committed to resident and medical student education and to advancing high-quality diagnostic pathology.
