Clinical and Research Background
Dr. Bourassa joined the Department of Laboratory Medicine as an Assistant Director of Clinical Microbiology in 2017. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Medical Microbiology. After obtaining her PhD at Tufts University School of Medicine and her MPH at the Harvard School of Public Health, Dr. Bourassa worked as an epidemiologist in the Bureau of Infectious Disease at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. She then completed postdoctoral fellowship training in Medical and Public Health Microbiology at the University of Washington.
