Dr. Liu is a board-certified anatomic pathologist with subspecialty expertise in gastrointestinal and liver pathology. His clinical and research work focuses on neoplasms of the liver, pancreas, and gastrointestinal tract, as well as fatty liver disease and liver transplantation. He is particularly interested in the molecular and genomic mechanisms of cancer and complex diseases, and in applying immunohistochemistry, digital pathology, and artificial intelligence in diagnostic practice and research. Dr. Liu has authored over 140 peer-reviewed publications.
