Clinical and Research Background
Dr. Liu is a board-certified anatomic pathologist subspecialized in hepatobiliary, gastrointestinal, and pancreatic pathology. His research interests are in liver neoplasms, nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, liver transplantation, and gastrointestinal and pancreatic disorders. He is particularly interested in discovering genetic and genomic mechanisms underlying liver cancers. Dr. Liu has more than fifteen years of experience in genetic, genomic, and transcriptomic studies of human complex diseases. He has authored over 120 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters in these fields.
