Clinical and Research Background
As medical director of the Seattle Children’s Laboratory, Dr. Rutledge was deeply involved in operations leading to his work in improving the laboratory both in efficiency and quality. He continues to be involved with building quality management systems (hospital ISO 9001) and with the College of American Pathologists on their ISO 15189 committee and other aspects of the laboratory accreditation program.
