Description
Ordered by Phlebotomy at HMC only, after failed venipuncture attempt for PRO test. This test is used for monitoring warfarin therapy only. This test cannot be used for the assessment of a therapy with direct thrombin inhibitors or direct Xa inhibitors.

Interferences and Limitations
There is no significant effect on this test result from heparin concentrations up to 0.8 U/mL, Low molecular weight heparins up to 2 IU anti-factor Xa activity/mL, Clopidogrel up to 20 mg/dL, or Fondaparinux up to 0.5 mg/L. The presence of Lupus Inhibitor antibodies can potentially lead to falsely elevated INR values.
