a devoted tube should be collected for this test if possible
Handling Instructions
The
Laboratory MUST receive and process specimen, within 1 hour of blood
collection.

requested: 1 mL plasma
Processing
UW-MT
Instructions: Take specimen
to COAG.
HMC Instructions: Centrifuge and separate plasma within one hour of collection. Freeze plasma @ -70°C. Send plasma to UW-MT Coag.
Outside Laboratory: Centrifuge, remove plasma within one hour of collection and Freeze plasma (minimum 0.5 mL) @ -50°C to -70°C. Send Frozen on dry ice.
NOTE:
Testing requires 1 mL plasma. Shared testing only allowed with
Hematology. If a shared tube is
necessary, hand deliver to Hematology.
