Processing
Make one aliquot:HAUTO: Sterile BD vacutainer tube to HMC Automation Line
Note: For samples less than 3mL, do not aliquot. Deliver entire sample along with all labels and pink shared specimen form to UCGEN rack 56.
Specimens that arrive at SPS frozen:
UW-MT Instructions: If sample is frozen, thaw and aliquot according to instructions above.
HMC Instructions: If sample is frozen, thaw and aliquot according to instructions above and deliver appropriate sample to HAUTO.
Outside Laboratories: Urine specimen should be frozen if transport will take more than 24 hours.
