Clinical and Research Background
Dr. Lucas is an Assistant Professor of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology, and specializes in hematopathology, hematology and coagulation. She has a background in clinical hematology/ oncology through prior medical training in Germany, and in translational research hematology/ immunology through a PhD at Queen Mary University/ Barts Cancer Institute London, UK, as well as postdoctoral training at the Ohio State University.
Dr. Lucas is an International Society for Advancement of Cytometry (ISAC) Marylou Ingram scholar (2019-2023), a Cytometry B Editorial Board member, and currently serves as the Chair of the International Clinical Cytometry Society (ICCS) DI committee, and as Member-J of the College of American Pathologists (CAP) Personalized Health Care (PHC) Committee.
