Description

Why Attend?

The Standards of Practice Committee of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) has released 2015 guidelines on the use of GI endoscopy in common clinical situations. It is important that pathologists be familiar with the current practice standards/recommendations on evaluation and surveillance of GI lesions.

After viewing this lecture, attendees should be able to:

  1. Be familiar with the current practice standards on surveillance for premalignant and malignant gastric lesions.
  2. Be familiar with the role of endoscopy in ampullary and duodenal adenomas.
  3. Be familiar with current recommendation for screening and surveillance in patients with inflammatory bowel disease.
