Clinical and Research Background
Dr. Ricciotti received his undergraduate education, medical doctorate, and residency training in anatomic and clinical pathology at the University of Arizona. He completed fellowship training in bone and soft tissue pathology at the University of Washington.
Currently, Dr. Ricciotti is an acting instructor in the Department of Pathology at the University of Washington. He practices diagnostic surgical pathology primarily in the subspecialties of bone and soft tissue, head and neck, and lung pathology as well as autopsy pathology. His research interests are focused on the molecular pathology of bone and soft tissue tumors with the hope of improving understanding of the pathogenesis of these tumors and identifying potential new diagnostic and prognostic markers as well as therapeutic targets.
