Dr. Torabi joined the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology in 2022. He is board certified in pathology (AP/CP) and hematopathology and works at the UW Medical Center as Associate Director of the Hematopathology Division.
Dr. Torabi specializes in hematopathology that deals with the diagnosis of blood disorders, including leukemias and lymphomas.
Dr. Torabi earned his MD at the University of Shahid Beheshti Medical Center in Tehran, Iran. He completed his residency at University of Nebraska Medical Center followed by Hematopathology fellowship at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. He received his PhD from University of Reno, Nevada in Cell and Molecular biology.
His primary research interest is genetic of Hematopoietic Neoplasms.
