Processing

Login: Spin and separate serum/plasma from cells within 2 hours. Deliver specimen directly to lab.

Outside and Remote Locations: Centrifuge and separate serum/plasma from cells within 2 hours. Aliquot in brown tube or wrap in foil to protect from light. Refrigerate serum/plasma

Note: An HFPA CANNOT be added if specimen is greater than16 hours old.
