Description
This quantitative RPR testing is performed in-house at UW. Standalone quantitative RPR testing can be used to monitor patients with a known history of syphilis. For a qualitative RPR screen that reflexes to an RPR titer, please see RPR Screen with Reflex to Titer [RPRQUW]. For reverse algorithm syphilis screening on patients with no known history of syphilis, please see Syphilis Reflexive Screen [SYPHRE]. All RPR testing is performed in-house at UW.

Preferred specimen: 6 mL blood in GOLD SST tube.
Acceptable Specimen: RED top tube.
Pediatric Specimen if different: Minimum 2mL blood, 1mL serum (Do not reject any specimen as partial testing may be done)
Unacceptable Specimens: Plasma

Stability: Refrigerated: 14 days (preferred); Frozen at -20°C or colder: Long Term (avoid repeated freeze-thaws)
