Outside Laboratories: Specimen is stable refrigerated up to 7 days. Freeze urine at -20°C if testing will not be performed within 7 days.

Processing
Enter the expected drugs (list provided by practitioner).
3 Aliquots:
HAUTO: 6mL in sterile BD vacutainer tuber for UPDRS (Pain Drug Screen, URN), and UCETOH.
HSPEC: 3mL in a 12x75 (5mL) polypropylene aliquot tube for UOPIAC and ETG
UBNZC: 3mL in a 12x75 (5mL) polypropylene aliquot tube for UBNZC and CRS2.
Note: For samples less than 1mL, do not aliqout. Forward to HMC SPS with pink shared specimen form.
HMC SPS: Deliver entire shared sample along with all labels and pink shared specimen form to HCSPEC rack 40.
Specimens that arrive at SPS frozen:
UW-MT, HMC, CL Instructions: If sample is frozen, thaw and aliquot according to instructions above.
