Summary: The Standards of Practice Committee of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) has released 2015 guidelines on the use of GI endoscopy in common clinical situations. It is important that pathologists be familiar with the current practice standards/recommendations on evaluation and surveillance of GI lesions.
