Handling Instructions
Specimens must be tested within 24 hours of collection. For samples received >24 hours after collection, test will be cancelled and a re-draw requested. Specimens must be transported at room temperature. Refrigerated or frozen specimens will be canceled and a re-draw will be requested.
Processing
Stability: 24 hours @Room Temperature
SPS: Sample can be shared with CBC. Do not add on test if sample will be received in the Hematopathology lab outside the 24-hour stability limit.
Outside Laboratories: Specimens must be tested within 24 hours of collection. For samples received > 24 hours after collection, test will be canceled and a re-draw will be requested. Contact Lab Med Call Center 206-685-6066 to discuss transportation options.
