Processing
Stability: 24 hours @Room Temperature
SPS: Sample can be shared with CBC. Do not add on test if sample will be received in the Hematopathology lab outside the 24-hour stability limit. If sample is approaching 24 hour stability limit, contact hematopathology lab (206-606-7060) to notify them that a specimen is coming and send immediately.
Outside Laboratories: Specimens must be tested within 24 hours of collection. For samples received > 24 hours after collection, test will be canceled and a re-draw will be requested. Contact Lab Med Call Center 206-685-6066 to discuss transportation options. Specimens can be sent directly to the hematopathology lab as well (include contact info).
