UW Brain Map Study
Help solve the mysteries of the brain.
Help us discover future treatments for brain injury and disease.
Much of how our brains function and how the parts of our brain are organized remains a mystery. Our study will work toward creating a new human brain map that will help scientists understand the different types and functions of each of our 200 billion brain cells. The Brain Map Study will speed up the search for treatments for all kinds of brain disease and injury.
The study is looking for volunteers.
- 18 years or older and diagnosed with a life limiting illness
- Interested in donating their brain to science after death
- Fluent in English
- Live within a 3-hour drive from Seattle
- From any cultural or racial background
Volunteers will have two study visits.
- An hour-long screening visit that can be done at your home.
- An MRI scan in Seattle at the University of Washington. While you are in the scanner, you will play some games. No injections are needed for the scan.
- Participants will be paid for the visits and travel costs will be covered.
If you are interested in volunteering and want to learn even more about the Brain Map Study...
