Fu-Pang Chang Receives Young Investigator Award of the WORLDSymposium

Fu-Pang Chang, a visiting scientist in Dr. Behzad Najafian's lab, was recently awarded A Young Investigator Award of the WORLDSymposium 2016 (lysosomal storage disease) for his work on the effect of agalsidase-beta on clearance of globotriaosylceramide in parietal epithelial cells in patients with Fabry disease.

Fligner Receives 2015 UWMC Chief of Medicine Service Award

Dr. Corinne Fligner, Professor, UW Medicine Pathology, is the recipient of the 2015 UWMC Chief of Medicine Service Award along with Dr. Arthur Eric Anderson, clinical associate professor (Nephrology). This is the first time in the history of the award that it was given to a faculty member who is not in the Department of Medicine.

Dr. Ricciotti’s project is, “Identifying Pathologic and Molecular Features that Distinguish Enchondroma from Chondrosarcoma”. Dr. Reder’s project is, “A Cost-Effective Microscopic Scanner for Rapid Evaluation of Radical Prostatectomy Specimens”.
